Italy -Sicily

A Sicilian Villa in Piazza Aprile 9
A spectacular bird show at the top of Castelmola.
Awesome trained birds are part of the history of the island.
Taormina Piazza.
We walked to the top of Castelmolda. It took 1 hour. I love going up hill!!!
The view of other towns south of Taoromina.
The ruins of the special Teatro Greco (Greek Theatre) built in the 3rd century BC. Fantastic location with smokey Etna in the background.

Etna is the largest active volcano in Europe. It last erupted in July this year and the lava spewed down through the forest and covered a hotel and tourism shops. Due to the furtile volcanic soil many villages are based around the base growing many local crops.
